We will be exploring both Old World & New World wines at these virtual events. As a point of reference, New World wines are usually fuller-bodied, higher in alcohol, have lower acidity, and are much riper on the palate. We will explore these wines in January. Old World wines tend to be lighter-bodied, lower in alcohol, have brighter acidity, and show more earth-driven flavors. We will explore these wines in February.

The cost for each virtual event includes 3 full-sized (750ml) bottles of wine and will be accompanied by a suggested list of food pairings to round out the evening. So, gather some friends together to share in the discovery of a lusciously curated selection of wines in the cozy comfort of your own home.

An in-person wine tasting at Domaine Pterion!

To usher in Spring, SOTA will be holding a 3rd wine-tasting event in person, at the picturesque Lehigh Valley winery, Domaine Pterion. Boasting a perfect south mountain location, Domaine Pterion specializes in dry European wines that are grown from their carefully tended vineyards on the property. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented, aged & bottled on-site at their state-of-the-art winery.

The event begins at 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Seating is available at tables set for six. A tasting of 5 of their wines (1 oz. each) will be presented along with a charcuterie board created for each table. Jay Nee will once again guide us through the various types of wines that we will be sampling. Your choice of a full glass of wine will be offered after the tasting program.
